Famovo is a private family directory service operated by Canonball Creative Inc. (DBA Criterion B). This policy explains what information Famovo collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

What we collect

When a household member creates or accepts an invitation to a Famovo account, we store the information they choose to add to their profile. This may include:

• Name, date of birth, mailing address, phone number, and email address
• Profile photo and short bio
• Social and gift links they choose to list
• Relationships to other household members
• Posts, comments, messages, and event RSVPs made inside the app

We also log magic-link sign-in requests and session activity for security purposes.

How we use it

All information is used solely to operate the private family directory, social feed, event planning, and messaging features for the specific family tenant that the user belongs to. This includes:

• Displaying profiles, directories, and family tree views to other authorized members of the same family tenant
• Sending event invitations and reminders by email and, for members who opt in, by SMS
• Routing direct and group messages between authorized members

What we do not do

Famovo does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your family directory is not visible to the public, to search engines, or to members of any other family tenant. We do not run third-party advertising and we do not share phone numbers with advertisers.

Third-party services

Famovo uses the following service providers strictly to deliver the features of the app:

• SendGrid (Twilio, Inc.) for transactional email (magic-link sign-in, invitations)
• Twilio for SMS delivery to members who have opted in to SMS notifications
• DigitalOcean for hosting the application and database

These providers only receive the minimum information needed to deliver the requested message.

SMS program

Members who opt in to SMS receive event invitations and reminders only. See the SMS Terms and Conditions for full details, message frequency, rates, and opt-out instructions.

Data retention and deletion

Account and message data is retained while the member's account is active. Members can remove their own profile and posts at any time by contacting the family admin or by replying to any email from Famovo. To request full deletion of your data, email the address below.

Security

Famovo uses HTTPS for all traffic, server-side sessions, and magic-link email verification. No passwords are stored.
