Program name
Famovo Family Event Notifications.
Program description
The Famovo SMS program delivers two categories of message to household members of a family tenant:
- Event notifications: invitations and reminders for family events such as holiday gatherings, birthdays, and celebrations organized by other members of the same family tenant.
- Account sign-in: a one-time magic-link text message sent when the member chooses "Text me a sign-in link" on the Famovo sign-in screen, so they can open the app on their phone without switching to email.
No other category of message is sent through this program.
How to opt in
A member opts in to event notifications by signing in to famovo.com via magic-link email or SMS, opening their profile page, and turning on the "SMS notifications" toggle. Opt-in is explicit, per person, and can be reversed at any time from the same screen. Members must enter a valid U.S. mobile phone number they personally control.
A member opts in to sign-in link texts by entering their own mobile phone number on the Famovo sign-in screen and tapping "Text me a sign-in link." Each request sends exactly one text containing a short-lived sign-in URL to that number. The phone number must already be on file for a Famovo account.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message from Famovo to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent to that number. You can also turn off "SMS notifications" in your Famovo profile at any time.

Message frequency
Event notification frequency varies based on how many family events are scheduled. A typical member receives between 1 and 4 event texts per month; high-activity periods (holidays, reunions) may produce a few more. Sign-in link texts are sent only when the member requests one from the sign-in screen, so frequency depends entirely on their own sign-in activity.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Famovo does not charge for SMS; any fees are set by your mobile carrier.
Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Metro by T-Mobile, Cricket, and other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Phone numbers submitted to Famovo are used only to deliver the messages described above. Numbers are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
